Specifically, the platform was redesigned to allow not only existing business partners but also new companies to freely propose raw materials. Additionally, an English-language page was added to expand the proposal channel for global raw material companies. Through the revamped website, partner companies can obtain a temporary account—regardless of whether they have a prior supply contract—and submit proposals using a standardized form. Previously, raw material suppliers had to propose new materials through the purchasing team, creating a barrier to entry for companies that were not existing partners. Cosmax provides real-time updates on every stage of the process, from proposal submission to acceptance, and sends automatic notifications. This allows proposing companies to track the review status more transparently, while the standardization of submission forms has also improved operational efficiency for both parties. Submitted ingredients are automatically classified as new or alternative ingredients based on their composition and undergo a review process. For new ingredients, the Cosmax R&I (Research & Innovation) Unit leads the review of technical suitability. For alternative ingredients, the purchasing team conducts the initial review, followed by a secondary review by the R&I Unit. Specialized research teams for each cosmetics category are automatically assigned based on product type, thereby increasing the speed and expertise of the review process. The company plans to integrate the management of past proposal histories upon formal supplier registration. Cosmax plans to accelerate the discovery of new ingredients following the launch of this platform. The company intends to accumulate diverse proposals from domestic and international ingredient suppliers as standardized data, utilizing this not merely for simple ingredient procurement but as an infrastructure for mid- to long-term ingredient discovery. Based on this, the company aims to expand its global market presence. The strategy involves launching products such as serums, gel masks, and mists using distinctive ingredients to drive export growth. A Cosmax official stated, “We have enhanced the platform to streamline communication with partners and improve the speed and transparency of raw material reviews,” adding, “By providing equal proposal opportunities to new companies and systematically managing proposal histories, we will strengthen Cosmax’s global competitiveness in raw materials.”
