Clobot and The One to Commercialize Trailer Auto-Parking Business in the Americas

The One and North America Collaborate on Logistics Yard Automation Efforts to Automate Trailer Movement, Parking, and Dock Berthing Implementation of an Integrated Monitoring System Based on CROMS and Chameleon Enhancing Autonomous Driving and Traffic Control with Real-World Data

[Edaily Reporter Shin Young-bin] #Clobot, a company specializing in robotics solutions, is partnering with The One to target the North American outdoor logistics automation market. The two companies plan to jointly commercialize an auto-parking system that automates the processes of moving, aligning, parking, and docking trailers.

Clobot announced on the 5th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The One to jointly commercialize an automated trailer parking system in the Americas.

This agreement was initiated to reduce inefficiencies in trailer movement, parking, and docking processes at logistics yards in North America. The North American logistics market relies heavily on large-trailer transportation and features active operations at large-scale logistics centers and yards, where labor shortages, increased waiting times, safety incidents, and reduced operational efficiency are major challenges.

The trailer auto-parking system is an outdoor logistics automation solution that automates the processes of moving, aligning, parking, and docking trailers at logistics centers, manufacturing hubs, and ports. Beyond simple autonomous driving, the system must recognize on-site data—such as dock status, trailer location, task priority, movement routes, obstacles, and safety zones—and perform vehicle operation and parking tasks based on this information.

In this partnership, Clobot will oversee the robot system and build the integrated robot control system. Based on the heterogeneous robot integration control solution ‘CROMS’ and the autonomous driving solution ‘Chameleon,’ the company plans to establish a control system that comprehensively manages autonomous vehicles’ work instructions, movement routes, parking locations, operational status, obstacle information, and on-site operational data.

The One will leverage its outdoor autonomous vehicle manufacturing technology to produce autonomous vehicles for trailer auto-parking and provide the communication solutions necessary for vehicle operation.

The two companies plan to establish a framework that enhances the operational stability of autonomous vehicles and the efficiency of control systems based on data collected from actual logistics sites. Logistics yards involve numerous variables, including road surface conditions, weather changes, communication environments, the presence of both vehicles and workers, and dock-specific operating procedures. Field data collected through repeated operations serves as the core foundation for route optimization, parking precision, obstacle response, coordination of movement between equipment, and improvements in operational efficiency.

Through this agreement, the two companies will progressively pursue the commercialization of the North American trailer auto-parking system, cooperation on integrated control and autonomous driving-based automation technologies, the advancement of autonomous driving and control systems based on field data, and joint marketing and promotional activities in the North American market.

Son Jun-bae, CEO of Clobot, stated, “This agreement is a strategic partnership aimed at combining each company’s core technologies and business capabilities to fully enter the North American trailer auto-parking market.” He added, “Starting with trailer auto-parking, we plan to create new business opportunities in the North American market and strengthen our global competitiveness.”
