[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] Robotics solutions company #Clobot has partnered with autonomous vehicle specialist The One to target the North American logistics automation market.

Clobot announced on the 5th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The One to jointly commercialize an automated trailer parking system in the Americas.

The two companies have agreed to collaborate on the development of outdoor logistics automation solutions to address inefficiencies in the processes of moving, aligning, parking, and docking trailers at North American logistics yards.

While the North American logistics market relies heavily on large trailer transport, issues such as labor shortages, increased waiting times, and safety accidents continue to arise.

The trailer auto-parking system is a solution that automates the movement, parking, and docking of trailers at logistics centers, manufacturing facilities, and ports. Its core feature goes beyond simple autonomous driving to control vehicle operations by analyzing real-time on-site data, including dock status, vehicle location, task priorities, and obstacle information.

In this project, Clobot will be responsible for building an integrated control system based on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and logistics automation technology. The company plans to establish a system that comprehensively manages vehicle work instructions, movement routes, parking locations, and operational status by utilizing its heterogeneous robot integrated control solution (CROMS) and the autonomous driving platform “Chameleon.”

The One will be responsible for developing autonomous vehicles for trailer auto-parking and supplying communication solutions, leveraging its outdoor autonomous vehicle manufacturing technology.

The two companies plan to continuously improve the operational stability of autonomous vehicles and the efficiency of control systems by utilizing data accumulated from actual logistics sites.

Given that conditions in logistics yards—such as weather changes, road surface conditions, and operational environments—are constantly shifting, the data collected during repetitive operations is expected to become a key asset for route optimization, obstacle avoidance, and improved parking accuracy.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to actively expand their entry into the North American market, focusing on logistics automation and autonomous driving-based automation technologies, and to commercialize next-generation smart logistics solutions based on field data.

A Clobot representative stated, “Through this collaboration, we plan to fully launch our entry into the North American trailer auto-parking market,” adding, “We will secure new growth opportunities in the North American logistics automation market based on integrated control and autonomous driving technologies.”
