[Edaily Reporter Park Soon-yeop] #SK Securities delivered health food kits to residents of the Seoul Station shantytown ahead of the Boknal holiday. The initiative aims to ease the financial burden of meals for shantytown residents, who are particularly vulnerable to the summer heat, and to help them stay healthy throughout the summer. SK Securities announced on the 5th that it had delivered the health food kits to the Seoul Station Single-Room Housing Counseling Center operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. This activity was conducted as part of the “Dongja-dong Single-Room Housing Neighborhood Care Project,” which SK Securities has been carrying out for the past three years. The kits consisted of three types of nourishing meals: samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), chueotang (loach soup), and miyeokguk (seaweed soup). SK Securities employees participated directly in packaging the kits and also helped deliver and display the items at the “Warmth Warehouse” within the Seoul Station Shantytown Counseling Center. Yoo Ho-yeon, director of the Seoul Station Shantytown Counseling Center, said, “Summer is a particularly critical time for residents’ health management due to extreme heat and nutritional imbalances,” adding, “Providing these nourishing meals alleviates the burden of meal preparation for residents and offers practical help for them to stay healthy throughout the summer.” An SK Securities official remarked, “This initiative is not a one-time effort but part of our ongoing commitment to identifying and fulfilling a consistent role within the local community,” adding, “We will continue to carry out social contribution activities that provide tangible benefits to the community through the direct participation of our employees.” With the goal of “a happy world together through sustainable finance,” SK Securities continues to carry out employee-participation-based social contribution activities, including support for the Seoul Station shantytown, environmental cleanup, blood donation campaigns, and financial education.
