(I love AION 2. I love NC. CEO Kim Taek-jin is my steadfast ally.)
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, met with "AION 2" users on the 7th and emphasized his friendship with NC (#NC). CEO Huang described CEO Kim Taek-jin as a "reliable ally."
CEO Huang attended an 'Aion 2' user meeting held at 2 p.m. that day at the Portal PC Bang in Seocho-gu, Seoul, where he met with CEO Kim Taek-jin. CEO Huang visited the PC Bang’s user seating area, obliged requests for autographs, and then participated in a prize drawing event, similar to previous PC Bang events.
Prizes for the on-site event included a 'GeForce RTX 5090' Founders Edition and an RTX Spark laptop, set to launch this fall.
Regarding the Spark laptop, CEO Hwang remarked, "It’s truly beautiful, powerful, and incredibly smart," adding, "The RTX Spark’s GPU performance is on par with the 5070. It’s incredibly thin, has all-day battery life, and boasts stunning display performance."
CEO Kim Taek-jin met with reporters immediately after the event and said, “NVIDIA has been with us since we launched Lineage in 2002,” adding, “When Lineage 2 was officially launched in 2003, we installed GeForce graphics cards in PC bangs nationwide.”
CEO Kim said, “NVIDIA played a significant role back then, and since our Lineage 2 also contributed to its success, the relationship that began then continues to this day.”
The collaboration between the two companies is expected to expand beyond gaming into the fields of robotics and physical AI. NC AI, a subsidiary of NC, is scheduled to attend a private briefing hosted by NVIDIA on the 8th for domestic robotics and AI startups.
A long line formed early in the morning in front of the PC bang in Seocho-gu where the event was held. Since registration for the event closed quickly, the area near the PC bang—including the street across the road—was packed with Aion 2 users who were unable to attend the event and citizens who had come to see CEO Jensen Huang.
Also in attendance were Lee Seong-gu, Senior Vice President overseeing the "Lineage" IP and new projects, and Bae Jae-hyun, Vice President in charge of "Sinder City" development and CEO of the subsidiary Bigfire Games.
Additionally, the event was planned as a user event and was broadcast online. Key members of the 'Aion 2' development team, including Production Director Kim Nam-jun and Business Director So In-seop, shared details on update plans and more.
Some users, unaware of Jensen Huang’s visit, came expecting a live event where key developers would introduce future update plans and were unable to hide their surprise.
Min Jun-hong, an 'Aion 2' user who won the RTX 5090 that day, said, "I came here today to have fun with my girlfriend, so I'm very happy to have received this unexpected prize." He added, "I'd really like to use the graphics card myself, but I'm going to ask my girlfriend and decide what to do with it."
