At this point, he’s a K-Food Fighter… A Look at Jensen Huang’s Mukbang List

Following the pork belly and soju gathering From Kalguksu to Samgyetang and Pyeongnaeng An order for 113 chickens at a baseball stadium "Nothing beats chicken and beer" – A Tribute

[Edaily Reporter Yoon Ki-baek] Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, who is currently visiting South Korea, is drawing attention for his daily enjoyment of Korean cuisine. Uncharacteristic of a CEO leading the global artificial intelligence (AI) industry, he is continuing his “K-food tour” by personally visiting everything from small neighborhood eateries to long-established restaurants and chicken joints.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is seen having a “samso (pork belly and soju) gathering” with SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin at a pork belly restaurant near Hongdae in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 5th. (Photo = Yonhap News)

On the 6th, CEO Huang visited a restaurant in the Kalguksu Alley of Seoul’s Namdaemun Market with his family, including his daughter Madison Huang and his future son-in-law. The group, who visited without a reservation, ordered and shared kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), sujebi (hand-torn noodle soup), barley rice, and naengmyeon (cold noodles), and reportedly looked thoroughly satisfied throughout the meal.
On the same day, they also visited Tosokchon, a famous samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) restaurant in Jongno-gu. There, they reportedly enjoyed samgyetang, whole fried chicken, and green onion pancakes, accompanied by ginseng wine. This effectively allowed them to experience a representative Korean health-boosting meal, considered a must-visit for foreign tourists.
Korean cuisine was also a staple at their dinner with business leaders. On the 5th, they held a “samso (pork belly + soju) gathering” at a pork belly restaurant in Hongdae with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Board Chairman Lee Hae-jin. Although a karaoke bar was initially suggested as the after-party venue, they ultimately enjoyed chicken and beer at BBQ.
On the morning of the 7th, he visited Uraeok, a renowned Pyongyang naengmyeon restaurant in Euljiro, Seoul. CEO Huang reportedly dined with Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun for about an hour. Uraeok is a long-established restaurant famous for its Pyongyang naengmyeon and bulgogi, and is one of Seoul’s premier dining spots frequented by food connoisseurs from both Korea and abroad.

That evening, he met with Chairman Choi Tae-won again at Kanbu Chicken in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for a “chicken and beer gathering.” After throwing the ceremonial first pitch, CEO Huang arrived at the venue wearing a Doosan Bears uniform and continued to engage with fans by taking photos and signing autographs.
CEO Hwang, known as a chicken lover, once again demonstrated his exceptional “love for chicken” that day. He even remarked, “There’s nothing better than chicken and beer.” In fact, it was reported that NVIDIA ordered 113 chickens from the BBQ restaurant inside Jamsil Stadium that day.
His signature sense of humor also shone through at the event. When Chairman Choi handed out “HBM chips”—snacks inspired by High Bandwidth Memory (HBM)—CEO Huang shouted, “HBM! I want more HBM!” drawing laughter from the crowd. It was a witty joke directed at SK Hynix, a supplier of HBM, a key component in the AI semiconductor market.
Industry observers view CEO Huang’s visit as more than just a culinary experience; they see it as a symbolic gesture demonstrating his affinity for Korean culture and businesses. From kalguksu and samgyetang to samgyeopsal, Pyeongyang naengmyeon, and chicken and beer, CEO Huang’s visit to Korea is drawing attention not only for discussions on AI cooperation but also for his “K-food tour.”
