"Defeat in General Election: 'Bloodbath' If Administration Fails to Secure Re-election"
"A Cutthroat Party Convention, a Struggle for the Presidency, and the Disappearance of the Three Major Reforms"
[Edaily Reporter Ha Ji-na] On the 8th, Democratic Party lawmaker Park Jie-won stated, “The race for party leadership is becoming overly heated,” adding, “Frankly, I am overcome with deep concern.”
After posting this on Facebook on the 8th, Rep. Park added, “If we lose the general election and fail to retain power, there will be a bloodbath and we’ll all be finished,” urging that “we must seek a way to hold a peaceful party convention.”
Rep. Park wrote, “The second and third years of President Lee Jae-myung’s administration are a golden opportunity with no elections,” adding, “This is the golden time for the President to work. I anticipate that the ‘Yoon Again’ faction, including Jang Dong-hyuk, will collapse, and figures like Oh Se-hoon, Han Dong-hoon, Yoo Seong-min, and Lee Jun-seok may unite.”
Rep. Park pointed out, “A bloody party convention within our ruling party will inevitably lead to a power struggle for the presidency, and issues such as the people’s livelihood, the economy, and the resolution of internal strife—the three major reforms—will be sidelined.”Park Ji-won, Member of the National Assembly for the Democratic Party of Korea (Photo = Newsis)
