CJ Logistics Launches ‘Grocery Delivery’ Service at Daejeon Taepyeong Market
Delivery Reception Center Established at Taepyeong Market in Daejeon
Delivery of Purchased Items to Your Home… Support for Merchants’ Parcel Shipments
First Collaborative Project with the National Federation of Merchants
[Edaily Reporter Kim Ji-woo] #CJ Logistics is launching a mutually beneficial logistics model that delivers goods from traditional markets directly to consumers’ homes, starting with Taepyeong Market in Daejeon. The initiative aims to contribute to the revitalization of traditional markets.

(Photo = CJ Logistics) CJ Logistics announced on the 9th that it has established a delivery reception center at Daejeon Taepyeong Market and introduced a grocery delivery service for traditional markets for the first time. A key feature of this service is that consumers can receive items purchased at the market at home, rather than having to carry them themselves. When a customer visits the market, makes a purchase, and requests parcel shipping, a delivery manager working at the delivery reception center visits each store to collect the goods. The items are then shipped anywhere in the country via CJ Logistics’ logistics network.
From the perspective of local merchants, this also reduces the burden of handling parcel acceptance and shipping. Instead of individual stores having to accept goods or handle shipping procedures themselves, they can manage logistics more conveniently through the delivery reception center. CJ Logistics expects this initiative to enhance the convenience of using traditional markets and contribute to the revitalization of local commercial districts.
This initiative is the first project launched by CJ Logistics following the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed last December with the National Federation of Merchants to establish a mutually beneficial logistics collaboration model for traditional markets. Daejeon Taepyeong Market, the first location to adopt the system, boasts a stable customer base supported by nearby large apartment complexes. It was evaluated as an ideal hub for implementing this mutually beneficial logistics model linked to QR code registration, as it already possesses experience in operating a joint collection center and has its own staff.
CJ Logistics plans to expand the scope of the service by continuing its collaboration with the National Federation of Merchants, starting with Daejeon Taepyeong Market. The company intends to broaden its collaboration beyond traditional markets to include regional product exhibitions and other events.
Previously, in October of last year, CJ Logistics was selected as the dedicated logistics provider for the “21st 2025 National Excellent Market Expo” held in Cheongju, where it provided delivery services to event visitors and local consumers.
Yoon Jae-seung, Head of the O-NE Division at CJ Logistics, stated, “Starting with the establishment of the delivery reception center at Daejeon Taepyeong Market, we will enhance the convenience of using traditional markets and expand our mutually beneficial logistics services to grow together with local merchants.”
