[Edaily Reporter NA EUN-KYUNG ] Rznomics Inc., a developer of RNA-based gene therapies, announced on the 6th that CEO Lee Seong-wook has been invited to speak at a domestic RNA academic event and a global biotech conference in succession, where he will present on the company’s RNA editing platform technology and clinical development strategy.

CEO Lee is scheduled to present the design and optimization process of the trans-splicing ribozyme platform, as well as the development strategy for therapeutic candidates based on this platform, at the Summer Symposium of the Ribonucleic Acid Division of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (KSMCB) to be held on the 7th.

The presentation will also cover the clinical trial approval process and development strategy for “RZ-001 (Taspitimagen advec),” an anti-cancer gene therapy currently in development targeting cancers with high unmet medical needs.

On the 10th, he will participate as a speaker at the global bio conference “BIO CHINA Global Forum Korea,” where he plans to present commercialization strategies utilizing the RNA trans-splicing ribozyme platform and the circular RNA (circRNA) platform, as well as the current status of key clinical development efforts, to global pharmaceutical companies and investors.

Rznomics Inc. is developing gene therapies based on its RNA exonuclease platform that simultaneously cleave disease-causing RNA and attach therapeutic RNA to correct the root cause of the disease.

The company’s flagship pipeline, RZ-001, had its safety and preliminary efficacy data presented at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) meeting last April, and based on these results, it received Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
