NeuroMeca Completes Automation of DN Automotive’s Mass Production Line

Full-Scale Collaboration on Manufacturing Automation with Strategic Investment Partner DN Group

[Edaily Reporter Lee Hye-ra] #NeuroMeka announced on the 10th that it has completed a collaborative robot-based automation project at the mass production plant of DN Automotive’s Vibration Management Solution (VMS) division and is now fully implementing the system on the production line.

This implementation marks the first joint achievement on a mass production line following the 5 billion won strategic investment secured last March from DN Solutions, a global machine tool company and affiliate of the DN Group. It is an example of capital and technology cooperation leading to actual application in a manufacturing environment.
This project involves the construction of collaborative robot-based automation equipment for the DN Automotive assembly line. It was designed as a fully automated line that includes product positioning verification, orientation inspection, and automatic transfer and discharge between processes.
NeuroMeka did not stop at simply supplying robots but executed the project using a turnkey approach that encompassed process analysis, automation design, system integration, and on-site stabilization.
Following the contract award, NeuroMeca completed the verification and stabilization process for mass production application after on-site installation and commissioning. Through this, the company applied a collaborative robot-based automation system to an assembly process that had previously been operated manually or with partial automation, establishing an automation structure capable of operating on an actual production line. NeuroMeca has secured a repeatable automation reference proven in automotive manufacturing environments.

DN Automotive is a KOSPI-listed company and a core affiliate of the DN Group. It is a global leader in the field of anti-vibration components—which reduce vibration and noise generated by automotive engines and transmissions—and also operates a battery business. DN Solutions, a global machine tool company that made a strategic investment in NeuroMeka, is a subsidiary of DN Automotive. This mass production project marks the first instance where collaboration following the strategic investment has led to actual production line automation. Leveraging this mass production application as a springboard, NeuroMeka is pursuing the expansion of its solutions to similar processes within the DN Group, thereby solidifying the foundation for group-wide manufacturing automation collaboration.
Kim Jeong-ah, Head of the Robot Systems Business Division at NeuroMeka, stated, “Starting with collaborative robot-based automation and extending to the advancement of mobile robots and AI-driven processes, we will establish ourselves as a partner that comprehensively supports the automation transition in manufacturing facilities.”
