Sam Altman Delivers Lecture on "The Era of Working with AI"
Held online and offline for employees… with simultaneous live streaming within the company
[Edaily Reporter Song Jae-min] Samsung Electronics’ Device Experience (DX) Division is hosting an internal event featuring Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, to share insights on AI-driven business innovation. As the company expands the internal use of external generative AI services such as ChatGPT, it appears to be accelerating efforts to strengthen employees’ AI proficiency.
According to industry sources on the 11th, Samsung Electronics’ DX Division will host the “2026 DX Insight Talk” at 10 a.m. on the 15th at the Mobile Hall in Suwon Digital City.
The event will be held under the theme "The Era of Working with AI." In an internal announcement, Samsung Electronics stated, "With the introduction of external generative AI services within the company, we now stand at a new starting line for the full-scale utilization and expansion of AI in our work," adding, "As we embrace another major shift in the way we work, Sam Altman will be with us at the beginning of this journey."
CEO Altman, who will serve as a speaker at the event, is a co-founder of OpenAI and a leading figure who spearheaded the generative AI boom. He plans to discuss with employees the future changes brought about by advancements in AI technology and the direction of AI-driven workplace innovation.
The event will be held both in-person and online. In addition to on-site attendance at Suwon Digital City, a live online broadcast exclusively for employees will be provided.
Industry observers view this event as an extension of Samsung Electronics’ recent company-wide AI transformation (AX) strategy. Samsung Electronics has recently expanded AI training for executives and is actively encouraging the use of generative AI, while pursuing measures to increase AI utilization across all areas, including research and development (R&D), manufacturing, marketing, and corporate support.
In particular, given that the CEO of OpenAI—a leader in the global generative AI market—has been personally invited, the event is expected to go beyond a simple lecture to deliver a message about spreading a culture of AI adoption within the DX division and innovating work methods.
