EOS is a leading academic event in the European orthodontic field, marking its 101st anniversary this year. The conference was held at the Dublin Convention Center from the 7th to the 11th.

At the event, Graphy introduced its digital orthodontic solutions utilizing its 3D-printed shape-memory orthodontic appliances (SMA) and the orthodontic material ‘Tera Harz’.

Shape-memory orthodontic appliances are clear aligners that utilize the material’s property of returning to its original shape after a certain period of time. They are being developed as a technology that can improve the replacement cycle and treatment efficiency compared to existing clear aligners.

According to the company, discussions regarding clinical applications and distribution partnerships were held during the conference with medical professionals and industry representatives from the UK, Ireland, as well as Eastern and Northern Europe. The company also noted that business meetings took place with participants from various countries, including Japan, China, Canada, and Australia.

Technical support and the sharing of clinical experiences with existing European clients also took place. Graphy stated that it conducted Q&A sessions and provided technical support to medical professionals using its products at the conference venue.

Presentations on shape-memory orthodontic appliances were also delivered at the conference. The company explained that speakers in the field of orthodontics, including Björn Ludwig, Wada Sabouni, Krishnaswamy Rengarajan, and Wilson Lee, introduced topics related to shape-memory orthodontic appliances during their lectures.

A Graphi representative stated, “This was our first time participating in EOS, a major academic event in the European orthodontic community, and we were able to network with various medical professionals and industry representatives.” They added, “As discussions took place regarding new markets such as the UK and Ireland, we plan to continue pursuing expansion into the European market.”
