Having participated in related projects for 14 years, SP Samhwa has been recognized for its contributions to improving the living environments of vulnerable groups through the provision of eco-friendly paint, and was awarded a Minister’s Commendation. SP Samhwa signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 11th with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute to “improve indoor environments for environmentally and health-vulnerable groups.” (Photo = SP Samhwa) SP Samhwa announced on the 12th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute to “improve indoor environments for environmentally and health-vulnerable groups.” Hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and organized by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, this project was established to create indoor environments where vulnerable groups can live safely, free from harmful environmental factors. A total of 17 corporate social responsibility (CSR) companies, including SP Samhwa, are participating in this year’s project. SP Samhwa has been participating in this project for 14 years to prevent environmentally-related diseases among environmentally and health-vulnerable groups. SP Samhwa plans to provide support in the form of its high-quality premium water-based paint “iLux” product line. This product line consists of eco-friendly products that have obtained certifications such as the Korea Eco-Label, the country’s leading eco-certification. Notably, SP Samhwa was awarded the Minister’s Commendation at the event in recognition of its continuous social contribution activities and contributions to improving the living environments of vulnerable groups. Kim Jeong-bae, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of SP Samhwa, who received the commendation at the signing ceremony, stated, “It is meaningful that SP Samhwa has been able to participate in the project to improve indoor environments for environmentally and health-vulnerable groups for 14 years,” adding, “SP Samhwa, which has been loved for 80 years, will continue to walk alongside the community with warmth through sustained interest and sharing.” Meanwhile, the event was attended by Geum Han-seung, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment; Nam Gwang-woo, President of the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute; Kim Jeong-bae, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of SP Samhwa; and other key representatives from corporate social responsibility organizations.
