[Edaily Reporter Lee So-hyun] Naver (#NAVER) is providing veterinary clinic information based on actual medical records on Naver Places to help pet owners find veterinary clinics more easily.

Naver announced on the 15th that it has introduced a specialized Place service for veterinary clinics, enhanced with information by linking to its partner clinic system.

The service being launched is “Places Plus,” which is specialized for the veterinary clinic sector. Places Plus is a service that connects offline information to the online space, supporting user search convenience and helping business owners integrate their online and offline operations. Naver has been expanding the range of industries covered by this service, starting with the integration of restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems in 2025.

Previously, pet owners had to check each clinic’s website directly or search for treatment information on pet communities. Going forward, users will be able to view treatment statistics and specialized information for each veterinary clinic at a glance on Naver Places and Maps.

A key feature of Animal Hospital Place Plus is its integration with partner systems to automatically display the latest treatment information in the Place details section. When searching for animal hospitals with this feature enabled on Naver Place or Maps, users can view information such as the most frequently visited treatments over the past three months, popular days and times for visits, the proportion of patients by specialty, and the return visit rates by animal species and age.

Dedicated search filters are also provided. Users can find animal hospitals that meet their specific criteria based on the type of animal treated, medical specialty, disease name, and availability of additional services such as hospitalization or grooming. For example, users will be able to search for hospitals that perform surgical procedures or treat specific diseases, hospitals that treat specific animal species, or hospitals that offer hospitalization services.

Naver expects that this will allow pet owners to find a clinic that suits their pet’s condition and treatment needs more quickly simply by searching on Places.

From the veterinary clinics’ perspective, this is also expected to boost promotion and attract new customers. This is because treatment information based on the partner system integration and representative user reviews will be displayed in the search results, naturally highlighting the clinic’s expertise and user experience.

Operational efficiency can also be improved through integration with the Naver Pay Connect terminal. When veterinary clinics use the Naver Pay Connect terminal, they can offer payment point benefits to visitors. Visitors can write reviews without needing a separate receipt, and their actual visit experiences are accumulated as reviews. Naver explains that these visit and usage statistics are then reflected in search results, creating a virtuous cycle that enhances the reliability of the information.

Place Plus for veterinary clinics will initially launch for clinics using the Intu CNS veterinary clinic solution. Naver plans to gradually expand the service to veterinary clinics using other solutions in the future.

Lee Se-hoon, Business Planning Leader for Naver Places, stated, “With the recent increase in pet-owning households, there is growing demand for more in-depth information about veterinary clinics.” He added, “We will continue to expand our coverage so that users can find the most suitable veterinary clinic for their pets’ care in one go, simply by searching on Places.”
