[Edaily Reporter Yoo Jin-hee] A unique public-private partnership model is being launched, bringing together public institutions, global platforms, and marketing specialists to support the global expansion of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Comprehensive digital marketing specialist #WiseBirds announced on the 15th that it will join the “TikTok SMB Academy”—jointly operated by the global short-form business platform “TikTok” and the Seoul Business Agency (SBA)—as a creative partner.

In this program, WiseBuzz will provide practical consulting and direct support—ranging from ad creative production to actual campaign execution and management—for SMEs targeting overseas expansion.
The TikTok SMB Academy is a specialized program designed to strengthen the digital marketing capabilities of Seoul-based SMEs and help them establish a foothold in the global market. It kicked off its eight-week journey with the first session on the 11th. Participating companies will receive advanced, hands-on training in short-form content planning, video production, advertising campaign management, e-commerce utilization, and media communication.
Notably, this academy goes beyond mere theoretical lectures; it features hands-on workshops designed to help companies develop marketing strategies optimized for their own brands and products. Additionally, “Anunu,” a renowned food creator on TikTok, will serve as an instructor, sharing firsthand insights into short-form content techniques and community engagement strategies that capture the attention of global users.
Companies that successfully complete the program will receive substantial follow-up benefits designed to translate into tangible business results, including advertising credits, support for additional creative production, and promotion of best practices.
Sichi Woo, General Manager of TikTok Korea’s Global Business Solutions (GBS), emphasized, “TikTok is a platform where SMEs can demonstrate unlimited potential on the global stage with just creative content, even without a large budget.” He added, “We hope this academy will establish itself as a leading public-private partnership model, driving the growth of SMEs through collaboration between public institutions and private platforms.”
This program is the first fruit of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between TikTok and the SBA last May. Taking this as a starting point, the two organizations plan to continuously expand their multifaceted cooperation to support the successful digital transformation (DX) and strengthen the global competitiveness of promising domestic SMEs.
