[Edaily Reporter Kim So-yeon] LG Electronics announced on the 16th that it will launch two new models of its "Compact Tower" cordless vacuum cleaners, which feature a more compact docking station. The cordless vacuum cleaner lineup has expanded to a total of five models, offering consumers a wider range of choices.
The most notable feature of the newly unveiled Compact Tower series is its minimalist design, which maximizes space efficiency. It enhances space utilization while maintaining powerful cleaning performance. The volume of the tower (charging dock), which charges the vacuum cleaner and performs automatic dust emptying, has been reduced by approximately 40% compared to the existing All-in-One Tower model. This design creates an interior effect that makes the home appear more spacious and tidy. The flagship model, the 'A7 Core+ Compact Tower,' delivers powerful suction of up to 220W (watts). The tower, equipped with an 'auto dust emptying' feature that automatically sucks dust into the main unit when the vacuum is docked, features a generous 2.1L dustbin capacity despite its reduced size.
If you choose the model compatible with wet mopping, you can switch to the wet mop nozzle to handle both dust suction and wet mopping in one go. In particular, it features a large 450mL water tank, allowing for over 30 minutes of wet mopping with just one refill. A system that automatically supplies water during cleaning has also been implemented to enhance user convenience.
LG Electronics’ cordless vacuums, including this new model, thoroughly block fine dust particles. The main unit features a five-stage filtration system—including a metal mesh filter, micro filter, and exhaust filter—to trap dust in the exhaust air, while the dustbin inside the tower is equipped with a three-stage filtration system. The filters and dustbin inside the main unit can be removed and washed with water, making hygiene maintenance convenient. The full lineup consists of: △ the premium A9 AI model, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze customer usage patterns and automatically adjust suction power; △ the A7 Core+ (All-in-One Tower and Compact Tower), which combines powerful performance with practicality; and △ the A5 (Compact Tower and Charging-Only Dock), designed to reduce wrist strain with its lightweight design.
The new Compact Tower models will be released sequentially starting with the A7 model on the 17th, available at online brand shops and offline stores such as LG Best Shop. The suggested retail prices are 990,000 won for the A7 Core+ Compact Tower and 790,000 won for the A5 Compact Tower. For subscribers, the monthly fee for the A7 Core + Compact Tower is 30,900 won (based on a 6-year premium contract), and subscribers will receive thorough professional home appliance maintenance services, including dust filter cleaning and filter replacement, throughout the contract period.
Son Chang-woo, Head of the Living Solutions Business Division at LG Electronics, stated, “Based on our deep understanding of living spaces and lifestyles, we will deliver efficient and convenient customer experiences across a diverse range of product lines, including wired and wireless devices and robot vacuums.”
