[Edaily Reporter Kim Saemi] #AprilBio announced on the 18th that it will participate in the “2026 Bio International Convention” (Bio USA), taking place in San Diego, USA, from the 22nd to the 25th, to present proof-of-concept (PoC) results for its new REMAP-based pipeline.
April Bio is developing a multi-target pipeline by applying REMAP, a conjugation platform that expands upon its existing SAFA platform. REMAP is an extension of the single-target-focused SAFA platform, designed to facilitate the development of multi-target therapeutics.
Building on this, April Bio is broadening its development scope from its existing research focused on single-target treatments for autoimmune diseases to the field of multi-target therapeutics. At this year’s Bio USA, the company plans to introduce new pipeline candidates, including bispecific antibody-based treatments for autoimmune diseases and antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) anticancer agents.
An April Bio official stated, “The REMAP pipeline targets best-in-class drugs in trending modalities, which has generated significant interest from big pharma,” adding, “With our participation in Bio USA as a starting point, joint development with overseas companies is expected to progress rapidly.”
The spokesperson continued, “We have meetings scheduled with numerous global pharmaceutical companies,” adding, “We plan to unveil new compounds at this event and begin full-scale partnering discussions starting in the second half of this year.”
