[Edaily Reporter Hong Ju-yeon] #PharmaResearch’s toxin division subsidiary, PharmaResearch Bio, announced on the 19th that it has obtained a domestic patent for a “tissue-repairing filler composition containing hyaluronic acid as the active ingredient, based on a dual-crosslinking system using a crosslinking agent with excellent biocompatibility.”(Image = PharmaResearch Bio)
This patent relates to a tissue-restorative filler composition based on hyaluronic acid (HA). The core technology is a dual-crosslinking method that uses a crosslinking agent derived from natural amino acids instead of BDDE (butanediol diglycidyl ether), a chemical crosslinking agent widely used in the manufacture of conventional HA fillers.
HA fillers utilize cross-linking technology to compensate for the biodegradable nature of hyaluronic acid in the body and to maintain the filler’s shape and efficacy for a certain period. This patented technology is designed to implement a biocompatible cross-linking system that stably maintains the physical properties of hyaluronic acid by using a cross-linking agent derived from natural amino acids. It is expected to serve as a proprietary platform technology for the development of next-generation HA fillers.
A representative from Pharmaresearch Bio stated, “This patent acquisition is highly significant as it secures a core technology for the development of next-generation HA fillers,” adding, “Alongside our botulinum toxin business, we plan to continuously expand our aesthetic portfolio—including PN-based fillers, calcium fillers, and HA fillers—to strengthen our competitiveness in the global market.”
