[Edaily Reporter Yoo Jin-hee] Edaily’s premium bio content service, “PharmEdaily,” will host a seminar titled “Strengthening the U.S. Export Competitiveness of K-Pharma, Bio, and Healthcare (hereinafter ‘Bio’) Companies.” The event will take place on July 15 at Harmony Hall in KG Tower, located on the first basement level of the Edaily headquarters in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
This seminar has been organized to assist domestic bio companies that have entered or are preparing to enter the U.S. market. Any company representative interested in the topic may attend free of charge.
The seminar consists of four sessions. In the first session, Kim Rae-hee, Division Head at #Classis, a global medical aesthetics specialist, will share “Experiences in Establishing a Foothold and Market Expansion Strategies Amid Protectionist Trends.” Next, Ji Seung-kwon, CEO of Next Customs Law Firm, will present on “A to Z of Customs Clearance for U.S. Imports and Exports and Risk Case Studies,” followed by Son Ik-kyu, Director at TikTok Korea, who will discuss “Success Stories of U.S. Local Marketing by Global Pharmaceutical and Biotech Companies via TikTok.” Finally, Choi Ho-jun, CEO of #WiseBirds, a comprehensive digital marketing firm, will present a “Guide to Selecting Marketing Partners When Entering the U.S. Market.”
Following the sessions, customized one-stop consulting will be provided to companies that pre-registered. The sessions will specifically address market entry strategies and platform advertising approaches tailored to each company’s product characteristics and market entry goals. Additionally, consultation sessions on customs-related issues will be available.
According to market research firm Precedence Research, the U.S. biotech market is projected to reach approximately $520 billion (about 800 trillion won) by 2025. This makes it the world’s largest such market among individual countries.
Meanwhile, this seminar is sponsored by the Korea Medical Device Industry Association (KMDIA) and WiseBirds. The Korea Medical Device Industry Association is the largest medical device industry organization in Korea, representing approximately 1,100 member companies, which account for more than 70% of the country’s total medical device exports.
