ADBIOTECH Co.,Ltd. announced on the 19th that its board of directors had appointed CEO Kim as the sole CEO and that an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders had approved agenda items, including the addition of business objectives, as originally proposed.
CEO Kim, a business executive with a background in veterinary medicine, led the founding and growth of Notus (now HLBbioStep), a leading domestic non-clinical CRO (Contract Research Organization).
At the extraordinary general meeting held that day, a motion to add business objectives for the expansion of new ventures—including biotech research and development (R&D), medical and healthcare, animal healthcare, and digital platforms—was approved.
A resolution to appoint new board members to advance the company’s mid- to long-term growth strategy was also approved. The new board members include CEO Kim and other experts in the fields of biotechnology, investment, and management.
The company plans to strengthen the competitiveness of its existing immune antibody-based business and pursue new ventures centered on the bio and digital healthcare sectors. Its strategy is to lay the foundation for mid- to long-term growth by enhancing R&D capabilities and diversifying its business portfolio.
