[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] SamsungElectronics is expanding its global HVAC business by supplying large-scale HVAC solutions to an ultra-premium residential complex in India. The company’s strategy is to broaden its business scope—which had previously focused on commercial buildings—into the premium residential market and accelerate its expansion into the Indian market.

This large-scale project involves the installation of more than 3,000 SamsungElectronics HVAC units across the 300-unit complex, with residents expected to begin moving in early next year.
Gurugram, a satellite city located about 30 km south of New Delhi, is India’s leading industrial hub, home to a high concentration of global IT companies and startups. Given the area’s large high-income population and summer temperatures that frequently exceed 45 degrees, demand for high-performance, high-efficiency HVAC solutions is known to be high.

The DVM S2 is suitable for large-scale residential complexes and commercial facilities, as a single outdoor unit can connect up to 64 indoor units. The company explained that it has enhanced structural stability and durability through a high-strength frame and low-vibration design, ensuring operational reliability even in environments prone to strong earthquakes.
AI-based features have also been incorporated. The system supports functions such as “AI Rapid Cooling,” which analyzes indoor and outdoor environments to enhance cooling performance; “AI Energy Saving,” which reduces power consumption; and “AI Real-time Refrigerant Leak Detection,” which detects refrigerant leaks in real time. According to SamsungElectronics, the AI Energy Saving feature can reduce power consumption by approximately 15%.

The product features a slim design with a height of 135 mm to maximize space utilization and is equipped with a PM1.0 filter to remove ultrafine dust and harmful bacteria. When linked with SmartThings, users can manage the temperature, humidity, air quality, and power consumption of each room via their mobile devices.
SamsungElectronics plans to use this supply agreement as an opportunity to strengthen its push into the global HVAC market, including India’s premium residential market. Lim Seong-taek, Executive Vice President of SamsungElectronics’ DA Business Division, said, “Based on SamsungElectronics’ competitive HVAC technology and solutions optimized for local lifestyles, we will further strengthen our leadership in the global premium residential market.”
