[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] Kakao Enterprise (CEO Lee Won-ju) announced on the 22nd that it has signed a “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Infrastructure Cooperation on AI Services” with the National Pension Service (Chairman Kim Seong-ju).
This agreement is a follow-up to the “MOU on AI-Based Public Service Innovation and Business Transformation” signed between Kakao and the National Pension Service last March, and its core objective is to expand cooperation across the entire process—from AI infrastructure design to construction and operation.
Through this collaboration, both parties plan to establish a stable infrastructure foundation for implementing AI services in the public sector and build a full-cycle collaboration system that extends all the way to the actual deployment of services.
Key provisions of the agreement include: △ the deployment of GPU servers and technical support for implementing an AI environment; △ the utilization of the Kakao Cloud AI platform; △ the creation of an environment for testing and validating AI models; and △ institutional and administrative support leveraging expertise in the public sector.
Through this partnership, the National Pension Service will secure a foundation that enables it to safely utilize large-scale data while driving AI-based operational innovation and enhancing services for the public.
Lee Won-ju, CEO of Kakao Enterprise, stated, “For the National Pension Service’s AI innovation—which handles data on the entire population—a safe and stable infrastructure is of utmost importance,” adding, “We will actively support the implementation of AI-based pension services based on Kakao Enterprise’s technological capabilities.”
Kim Seong-ju, Chairman of the National Pension Service, remarked, “Securing high-performance GPU resources through our collaboration with Kakao Enterprise is a prime example of proactive administration based on public-private cooperation,” adding, “Building on this, we will develop AI services that the public can tangibly experience.”
