Samsung OLED TVs Rank First in U.S. Consumer Reports Evaluation… Sweep All Major Screen Sizes
77-inch and 55-inch OLED TVs Take the Top Spot in Their Respective Categories

[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] SamsungElectronics’ OLED TVs have proven their competitiveness by ranking first in the major screen size category in a product evaluation by the U.S. consumer magazine Consumer Reports.

(Photo courtesy of SamsungElectronics) SamsungElectronics announced that its 77-inch OLED TV (S95H) received a score of 91 in Consumer Reports’ June TV evaluation, ranking first in the 70-inch and larger category. The 55-inch OLED TV (S95H) also scored 90 points, taking first place in the 55- to 60-inch category.
Consumer Reports conducts a comprehensive evaluation covering picture quality, HDR, viewing angles, and sound quality, as well as brand trust, data privacy, and data security.
Regarding the picture quality of Samsung’s OLED TVs, Consumer Reports noted, “They deliver exquisite detail and top-tier color accuracy, rendering all colors—including skin tones—naturally and vividly.” It also explained, “With a perfect contrast ratio and deep blacks, they provide outstanding depth and immersion even in dark scenes.”
HDR performance and viewing angles also received high marks. Consumer Reports stated, “Based on high peak brightness, it maximizes the realism of 4K content and delivers excellent performance even in well-lit environments,” adding, “It supports virtually unlimited viewing angles, resulting in almost no loss of picture quality regardless of viewing position.”
Regarding sound quality, the report stated, “It ranks among the best we’ve tested to date,” adding, “It delivers deep bass and satisfying treble across a variety of content, including movies, music, and TV shows, and performs exceptionally well even in noisy environments.”
Meanwhile, according to market research firm Omdia, SamsungElectronics saw a 28.8% year-over-year increase in sales volume in the global OLED TV market during the first quarter of this year, recording a market share of 38.9% based on revenue.
