According to industry sources on the 26th, SamsungElectronics organized the SamsungElectronics Appreciation Festival to share the achievements of the AI era with the public and contribute to revitalizing the local economy; the event runs from the 8th of this month through the 5th of next month.

In fact, since the event began, foot traffic at Samsung Stores nationwide has increased significantly. The number of visitors to Samsung Stores has risen by an average of 75% compared to the same period last year, with some stores seeing visitor numbers double. Additionally, the number of visitors to Samsung.com has increased by more than 200%.

Mr. Choi, a groom-to-be who selected home appliances for his wedding at a SamsungElectronics store, said, “While preparing for my wedding, my expenses grew larger than expected, causing a significant financial burden, but receiving the digital Onnuri gift certificate after purchasing the appliances felt like getting a big bonus.”

This event is being held at approximately 1,000 online and offline locations nationwide, including over 400 Samsung Stores, as well as Hi-Mart, E-MART Co., Ltd., and department stores. During the event period, customers who purchase SamsungElectronics products will receive a digital Onnuri gift certificate worth 20% of their purchase amount. Additionally, as a token of “special gratitude,” uniformed public servants—including military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and correctional officers—who dedicate themselves to the nation and its people will receive an extra 10%, bringing their total benefit to 30%.

This event is particularly significant in that it aims to revitalize the local economy and foster mutual growth. The initiative is designed to channel customer benefits into local commerce. Since the digital Onnuri gift certificates can be used at traditional markets and small neighborhood shops nationwide, the event is expected to stimulate the local economy.

The products most frequently chosen by consumers so far during the event include smartphones, washing machines, refrigerators, TVs, and air conditioners. Additionally, the “Bespoke AI Steam” robot vacuum—a must-have appliance for newlyweds—is attracting significant interest, as customers who purchase it via subscription receive a digital Onnuri gift certificate equivalent to 20% of the purchase price, plus a benefit covering 12 months of subscription fees.

Furthermore, customers purchasing multiple products together have frequently opted for the “AI Subscription Club,” which helps reduce the initial cost burden. During the event period, SamsungElectronics is offering subscription fee support for up to 6–12 months to customers who join the “AI Subscription Club.” In fact, the number of customers purchasing through subscriptions has tripled compared to before the event.

SamsungElectronics plans to expand the supply of popular products to ensure smooth customer purchases until the event ends and to ensure that more customers can benefit from the promotion.
