LGELECTRONICS announced on the 29th that it is launching two new models of its modular housing line, the “LG Smart Cottage.” The newly introduced products are the single-story “MONO Core 72” (72.9㎡, approx. 22 pyeong) and “MONO Core 82” (82.1㎡, approx. 24 pyeong), marking LGELECTRONICS’ first entry into the 20-pyeong range for Smart Cottages.

The new products consist of two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The MONO Core 82 expands one of the bedrooms to provide a more spacious living area. LGELECTRONICS explained that, reflecting customer feedback and market demand, it has increased the usable floor area compared to existing models and enhanced price competitiveness by reducing the price per pyeong by up to 76%.

The product is designed to be used not only for general residential purposes but also for various commercial spaces, such as corporate training centers and leisure and lodging facilities. Customers can customize furniture and storage configurations, home appliances and IoT devices, floor plans, and exterior materials to suit their needs, and the entrance orientation and roof shape can also be adjusted based on the installation environment.

The interior comes standard with IoT devices such as the AI home hub “ThinQ On,” a central air conditioning system, a condensing boiler, a smart door lock, and smart switches. Through ThinQ On, users can use voice commands to centrally control home appliances and devices throughout the living space; AI appliances, ventilation solutions, and solar panels can also be added as options.

Prices start at 199.5 million won for the MONO Core 72 and 223.5 million won for the MONO Core 82. The final price varies depending on the selected options and installation environment. Customers can check product configurations and estimated costs, as well as receive installation consultations, on the LG Corp. Smart Cottage website.

The exhibition space features a fully equipped model incorporating AI home appliances and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technology, allowing visitors to experience an AI home firsthand.

Cho Yeon-woo, CEO of LGELECTRONICS’ Smart Cottage Company, said, “With its expanded space and reasonable price, this new product will serve as an innovative residential solution that meets diverse business needs—including corporate training centers, leisure facilities, and lodging establishments, in addition to residential use.” He added, “We will continue to provide new customer experiences by combining AI technology with personalized spatial experiences.”
