[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] LGELECTRONICS has launched the “LG HomeBot AI Objet Collection RONi,” the world’s first premium AI robot vacuum cleaner to feature 100°C steam technology in both the main unit and the docking station. The company’s strategy is to accelerate its expansion into the premium robot vacuum cleaner market by enhancing cleaning performance, hygiene management, and interior design.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 29th that it will launch the AI robot vacuum “LG HomeBot AI Objet Collection RONi.” The product will be available in two models: the “Hidden Station,” which is installed in the space under the kitchen sink, and the “Objet Station,” designed as a side table.

The Hidden Station features a built-in design with a height of 15 cm, allowing it to be installed in the space under the kitchen sink without requiring separate cabinetry work. The Objet Station is designed in the form of a side table to blend naturally into various living spaces. For both products, the front door remains closed during normal use, so the main unit is not exposed to the outside. This design won the Best Product Award at the “2025 Ergonomic Design Awards.”

Ronnie is the world’s first product to incorporate 100°C steam technology into both the main unit and the station. During cleaning, it sprays 100°C steam onto the mop to remove stubborn grime, and after cleaning, the station uses 100°C steam and hot water to eliminate 99.99% of four types of harmful bacteria. It then reduces odors and keeps the interior clean through hot air drying and its patented “Station Conditioning” technology.

Cleaning performance has also been enhanced. It features 30W suction power and a mop that rotates 180 times per minute, and is equipped with an extendable side brush and a dual brush to improve corner cleaning and prevent hair tangles.

AI capabilities have also been significantly enhanced. Utilizing LGELECTRONICS’ proprietary AI object recognition technology and eight sensors, the robot can distinguish approximately 120 types of objects—such as cables, flower pots, and pet waste—to avoid obstacles and automatically select the appropriate cleaning mode based on the level of dirt. It also automatically adjusts suction power and navigation mode by distinguishing between spaces such as the living room, kitchen, and bedroom.

Security features have also been enhanced. The robot incorporates LG Corp.’s proprietary security system, “LG Shield,” which encrypts collected data and stores encryption keys separately. It features a design where the docking station door closes automatically once cleaning is complete, and it has obtained “Privacy-by-Design (PbD)” certification from the Personal Information Protection Commission.

The product will go on sale sequentially starting on the 2nd of next month at LGELECTRONICS Best Shop, LG.com, Coupang, and other retailers. The suggested retail price for both the Hidden Station and the Objet Station models is 2.19 million won. Subscription customers will also receive regular high-temperature steam cleaning and consumable replacement services.

Son Chang-woo, Head of LGELECTRONICS’ Living Solutions Business Division, said, “We’ve maximized hygiene by applying 100°C steam to both the robot and the station—a world first,” adding, “Along with a design that elevates the sophistication of living spaces, we will provide a cleaning experience in a league of its own.”
