[Edaily Reporter Kim Yeong-hwan ] KCC ( KCC Corporation(002380)) announced on the 29th that it has signed a “Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Establishment of the IPARK Brand Color Identity and Color Standardization” with IPARK HYUNDAI DEVELOPMENT COMPANY.

The signing ceremony, held on the 26th at KCC Corporation’s headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, was attended by KCC Corporation Vice President Baek Chang-ki, iPark Hyundai Industrial Development Head of Development Park Hee-yoon, and other representatives from both companies.

This agreement is part of the i-Park brand renewal project that i-Park Hyundai Industrial Development is pursuing to mark its 50th anniversary. The two companies plan to establish a color standardization system and jointly develop on-site application technologies to ensure the new brand colors are consistently implemented in actual buildings.

Specifically, they will collaborate on developing a color manual tailored to outdoor environments, establishing color guidelines for common areas such as underground parking garages, producing a brand-exclusive color book, and providing technical support for on-site implementation.

Leveraging its expertise in architectural coatings and color design, KCC Corporation will develop iPark’s new brand colors and provide technical support to ensure consistent color tones and quality across various construction environments.

Both companies will apply Color Universal Design (CUD) not only to building exteriors but also to underground parking garages and common areas. The plan is to enhance safety and convenience by improving spatial recognition and the legibility of circulation paths—taking into account diverse users such as those with color vision deficiencies and the elderly—while clearly distinguishing pedestrian and vehicular traffic routes and enhancing visibility during emergencies.

A KCC Corporation official stated, “This is a meaningful collaboration that brings the brand color to life in a real architectural setting while incorporating Color Universal Design,” adding, “Based on our coating technology and color expertise, we will establish a distinctive brand color system and contribute to creating a residential environment where design and safety harmonize.”

An official from i-Park Hyundai Industrial Development said, “We undertook this project to bring the newly established i-Park brand identity—marking our 50th anniversary—to life in actual residential environments,” adding, “Through our collaboration with KCC Corporation, we will further strengthen our brand value and customer experience.”
