[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] The KOSPI has reversed course and is rising by over 1% in the afternoon. In particular, SK hynix(000660), which had fallen by as much as 5%, has rebounded.
According to MP Doctor on the 29th, as of 2:54 p.m., the KOSPI is trading at 8,502.72, up 1.09% (91.51 points) from the previous trading day.
On the stock market, 825 stocks are up—including five that have hit their daily upper price limit—while 88 are down. By investor type, foreign investors are selling 7.2421 trillion won worth of stocks, while retail and institutional investors are net buyers of 3.9909 trillion won and 3.037 trillion won, respectively. Program trading shows a net sell of 4.3047 trillion won, combining arbitrage and non-arbitrage trades.
Notably, SK hynix fell as much as 5% during the session but reversed course and rose in the afternoon. It is currently trading at 2,688,000 won, up 0.56%. In addition, LG Energy Solution(373220)is surging by over 18%, and DOOSAN ENERBILITY(034020)is jumping by over 8%. SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS(207940)is also up more than 7%. Conversely, Samsung Life Insurance(032830)is down by about 4%, and SamsungElectronics(005930)and SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION(028260)are both down by more than 3%.
By sector, construction is surging by more than 10%, and medical and precision instruments are rising by more than 9%. Pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and entertainment and culture are climbing in the 8% range. In contrast, insurance is slipping in the 2% range, and retail, electrical, and electronics are showing weakness.
The KOSDAQ is currently trading at 922.30, up 8.33% (70.93 points) from the previous trading day. Among the top market-cap stocks, gains are predominant, with ECOPRO CO., LTD(086520)surging in the 23% range and ABL Bio Inc.(298380)soaring by more than 20%. LigaChem Biosciences(141080), ECOPRO BM CO., LTD.(247540), and SAM CHUN DANG PHARM CO. LTD(000250) are also rising in the 10% range.
