Selling Used Phones Just Got Easier… Cello Launches AI Chatbot 2.0
Check Estimated Market Prices by Entering Model and Capacity
One-stop support from checking market prices to submitting a sale request
Check Inquiry Details and Event Status via the Chatbot
[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] LG Uplus(032640) MediaLog, a subsidiary of MediaLog, has revamped its AI chatbot for “Sello,” its used phone sales platform, to provide a one-stop service ranging from checking used phone market prices to submitting sales requests.
MediaLog announced on the 30th that Sello is launching “AI Chatbot 2.0,” which enhances customer convenience. It streamlines the information-searching process—which previously required navigating to the customer service center or separate menus—and enhances the customer experience (CX) by enabling a seamless transition to submitting a used phone sale request.
The most significant change is the “Instant Estimated Price Check” feature. With Chatbot 2.0, users can instantly view the estimated price by grade simply by entering the phone model and storage capacity in the chat window. Previously, users had to select the manufacturer, model, and storage capacity in a step-by-step process to check the price of a used phone.
After checking the price, users can proceed directly to the sales application within the chatbot without having to navigate to a separate screen. This allows users to quickly confirm the potential selling price of their used phone and complete the entire process—from inquiry to application—in one seamless step.
Customer support features have also been enhanced. Cello users can check their recent one-on-one inquiry history and whether responses have been completed via the chatbot. They can also view current events and their own event entry history through the chatbot.
Through this overhaul, Cello plans to expand the chatbot from a simple customer service channel into an AI-based customer experience platform. The vision is to improve service accessibility by consolidating frequently used features—such as checking used phone market prices, submitting sales requests, reviewing inquiries, and viewing events—into a single channel.
Cello is also continuing to improve its customer-centric services. This year, it introduced a social media-based quick sign-up feature to streamline the registration process and reduced the number of input steps in the sales application process to simplify the submission procedure.
A Cello spokesperson stated, “This Chatbot 2.0 overhaul is the result of enhancing service connectivity so that customers can access the information they need during the used phone sales process in the most intuitive way possible,” adding, “We will continue to actively leverage AI technology to create an even more convenient environment for used phone transactions.”
