Disney+ announced on the 1st that its new original series, “Killers’ Mall 2,” is set to premiere on the 22nd. The company also teased that the hidden backstory of “Jin-man” (Lee Dong-wook)—the uncle who was believed to be dead—will be fully revealed in the series.
“Killers’ Mall 2” is a stylish action series in which “Ji-an” (Kim Hye-joon), who has become the new CEO of the mall after a grueling handover, joins forces with the returned “Jin-man” (Lee Dong-wook) to launch a full-scale counterattack against the global power “Babylon.”
Lee Dong-wook, who played the role of “Jin-man,” a former ace mercenary, and garnered an explosive response with his unexpected charm, shared his thoughts: “It’s an honor just to be able to return for Season 2, and I’m delighted to be able to show you Jung Jin-man once again.”
The stills released alongside the announcement show the resurrected “Jin-man” preparing a counterattack with the MurderHelp team and seemingly orchestrating a grand plan, further piquing viewers’ curiosity.

Lee Dong-wook piqued viewers’ curiosity by stating, “‘Jin-man’ is a character who doesn’t experience much emotional turmoil and has rarely shown it outwardly, but in this season, you’ll see moments where he reveals those emotions.” He also raised anticipation by adding, “The action has become even more spectacular,” and “I prepared with the determination not to let anyone down.”
Director Lee Kwon also revealed, “In Season 2, ‘Jin-man’ will face many trials and tribulations, and there will be more scenes where he expresses his emotions a bit more than before.” This has drawn attention to Lee Dong-wook’s passionate performance, which is set to create a multidimensional portrayal that blends unwavering composure with deeper, more profound emotional depth.
Along with this, anticipation is building for Lee Dong-wook’s even more upgraded action sequences, which added genre-specific catharsis with his flawless performances in Season 1. Martial arts director Jeon Jae-hyung, who has collaborated with him since the previous season, praised Lee Dong-wook as “already a consummate actor when it comes to action.” Lee Dong-wook continues to amaze by personally executing most of the action scenes—from gunfights to hand-to-hand combat and wire stunts—earning high praise from his director.
Martial arts director Jeon Jae-hyung added, “In Season 2, action sequences will unfold in new settings never seen before. “Killers’ Shopping Mall 2” will premiere on the 22nd with the release of Episodes 1 and 2, and will air two episodes every Wednesday for a total of eight episodes.
