[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] "I experienced an even more intense flavor this season." Kang Han-na (from left), Seo In-guk, Lee Eun-ji, and Kader Karden (Photo = News1) Singer and actor Seo In-guk expressed his anticipation with these words at the production press conference for Season 2 of the Netflix variety show *I’ve Been Single My Whole Life, But I Want to Date* (MoSol Yeonae 2), held on the 1st at Hotel Naru Seoul M Gallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul. In attendance were Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, Kader Garden, and producers Kim No-eun and Won Seung-jae. "Born Solo, But I Want to Date 2" is a makeover dating reality show that follows the first romantic adventures of lifelong singles—who have zero experience but sky-high expectations—and is sure to evoke empathy and friendly advice. Season 1, released last year, gained popularity, reaching the top 10 on Netflix’s global non-English TV shows chart immediately after its release. Seo In-guk expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “When I heard we were doing Season 2, I was happier than anyone else, and it’s an honor to rejoin the cast as a ‘Summaker.’” Regarding Season 2, he heightened anticipation by saying, “It’s a flavor you can’t forget once you’ve tasted it,” adding, “I’ve already gotten a strong taste of what this season’s cast has to offer.” Lee Eun-ji also expressed confidence, saying, “Isn’t there an unwritten rule that Season 2 of a dating show is always the most fun?” and adding, “Season 2 has even more authenticity.” Kang Han-na shared her thoughts on joining the show, saying, “While filming Season 1, I realized there were many lifelong singles around me,” and added, “With so many charming lifelong singles like this, I joined with the hope that we could continue through Season 2 and even Season 3.” Kader Garden caught everyone’s attention by appearing in a T-shirt printed with a photo of Kang Han-na. He drew laughter by explaining, “While filming Season 2, I would say harsh things and struggle to control my emotions, but Kang Han-na always kept her emotions in check,” adding that this was a gesture of respect toward her. The “5-Minute Bookstore,” where participants can learn about their matches, now includes a “New Release” system that allows them to check real-time attraction levels. Additionally, the “Single Post Office”—an expansion of Season 1’s mailbox—provides lifelong singles with an opportunity to actively express their feelings by sending not only letters but also gifts to those they’re interested in. Referring to the karaoke feature, Seo In-guk confessed, “I once tried a singing confession in the past, but it failed. It was the biggest event of my life.” He continued, “There’s a contestant who plays the piano well, and they were debating whether to sing while playing. I told them they should leave the singing out of the confession. "The chances of success are low. This advice comes from my own experience," he said, drawing laughter. Producer Kim No-eun explained, “We learned the hard way in Season 1 that if we just leave the cast members alone, like on other dating shows, they won’t do anything,” adding, “We prepared such a tight schedule that Eun-ji even joked, ‘Aren’t the cast members going to get mouth sores?’” Producer Won shared, “There are lifelong singles among the production staff as well. I was inspired after seeing a producer fall for someone they didn’t know well and suddenly start sending them letters and gifts,” adding, “We set up a feature called the ‘Lifelong Singles Post Office.’” Finally, Producer Kim said, “While last season showed the cast members’ clumsy attempts at dating, this time I’d like to say they’ve improved a bit—they’re ‘actually getting the hang of dating.’” He continued, “It’s not that they’re good at it, but please look forward to seeing sparks fly in unpredictable ways, just like bumper cars.” "Single’s Dating 2" premieres on the 7th.
