LGELECTRONICS Expands HVAC Hubs in Asia… Accelerates Push into Local End-to-End B2B Market

New HVAC Academies Established in Taiwan and Singapore Operating 70 locations in over 40 countries worldwide… Training 30,000 people annually Moving Beyond Engineer Training to Serve as a Regional B2B Business Hub Expanding into Poland, Chile, Côte d'Ivoire, and Other Countries

[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] LGELECTRONICS is accelerating the expansion of its global B2B business by successively establishing specialized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) training centers across Asia. The company’s strategy is to go beyond simple technical training and utilize these centers as business hubs to cultivate local engineers and strengthen customer engagement, thereby growing its non-hardware (N-HW) business as well.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 2nd that it recently opened new HVAC academies in Taichung, Taiwan, and Singapore. This move is intended to establish a self-contained B2B business foundation in these regions and provide differentiated customer experiences in response to urbanization driven by population growth and expanding demand for industrial infrastructure.

LGELECTRONICS currently operates approximately 70 HVAC academies in over 40 countries worldwide, including Asia, Europe, North America, Central and South America, and Africa. Each academy provides training on the installation and maintenance of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, high-efficiency chillers, and liquid cooling solutions (CDU), as well as HVAC design engineering, training more than 30,000 HVAC professionals annually.

The HVAC business is a sector where local regulations, installation environments, building uses, and energy efficiency standards vary by country, making not only product competitiveness but also local technical support capabilities crucial. Through its academies, LGELECTRONICS is expanding its engagement with key local B2B stakeholders and identifying diverse business opportunities by providing training for installation engineers, hosting seminars for HVAC clients and design consultants, and operating product experience spaces.

The company is also continuing to expand its global footprint. LGELECTRONICS opened a new HVAC Academy in Poznań, Poland, last May and is expanding its business presence into the “Global South” region, including Santiago, Chile, and Abidjan, Ivory Coast. In April, LG Corp. strengthened its global partnerships by hosting “LG HVAC Connect 2026” in South Korea, inviting key HVAC partners from 15 Asian countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Lee Jae-sung, President of LGELECTRONICS’ ES Business Division, said, “Our HVAC Academies, which are expanding worldwide, will not only serve as hubs for B2B business in each region but also enhance the capabilities and skills of local engineers, thereby contributing to the growth of non-hardware (N-HW) sales.”
