[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] MBC Plus’s drama “My Idol, My Debut” has confirmed its premiere for July 16.

At noon on the 2nd, the production team of “My Idol, My Debut” released a main teaser and official poster capturing the drama’s core narrative via MBC Every1’s official YouTube channel “ALL THE K-POP” and the “Idol Champ” app.
The released teaser video begins with Han Jae-ha (played by Ji Chang-min), a key member of the popular boy group “Boy to the Moon,” on a dazzling concert stage. Just as he makes a wistful confession—“Back in school, there was a friend who gave me courage”—tension rises as a shocking incident unfolds: Han Jae-ha is attacked by an assailant on stage, collapsing in a pool of blood.
The desperate time-travel narrative of Choi Ae-ni (played by Hwang Ji-ah), a devoted fan who travels back from 2026 to 2018 to change Han Jae-ha’s tragic fate, now begins in earnest. Upon encountering Han Jae-ha during his high school days, Choi Ae-ni asks in disbelief, “This feels so real—are you really ‘Han Jae-ha’?” She then immediately begins her journey to change his fate, declaring, “You can’t die,” and “I’ll definitely protect you.” The tender embrace between the two at the end of the video hints at a plot where youthful romance and mystery intertwine, heightening curiosity about the story to come.
The poster released alongside the video captivates viewers with its striking contrast between light and darkness. Han Jae-ha, standing alone behind cracked glass, and Choi Ae-ni, holding a microphone with a bright smile, create an atmosphere as if they were living in different worlds, foreshadowing their fateful encounter. Added to this are the figures of Aji (played by Nana), Karin (played by Kaede), and Aisa (played by AISA), who light up the stage under dazzling lights, heightening anticipation for how the time-travel mystery and the idol growth narrative will intertwine.
On MBC Drama Net, episodes 1 and 2 will air back-to-back on the 16th at 11:30 p.m., followed by episodes 3 and 4 at the same time on the 23rd. On the K-pop specialty channel MBC M, episode 1 will air on July 21, episode 2 on July 22, episode 3 on July 28, and episode 4 on July 29, all at 10:30 p.m.
The series will be released globally simultaneously via Lemino, a major Japanese OTT platform, and will also be released sequentially on major Korean OTT platforms—Wavve, TVING, and WATCHA—immediately following the broadcast according to their respective schedules.

“Choi Ae’s Debut” is the highly anticipated new work by writer Choi Yeon-soo of “Shooting Star.” “Shooting Star,” a romantic comedy that aired on tvN in 2022, depicted the realistic behind-the-scenes stories of the people who shed blood, sweat, and tears to make the stars—who shine like the stars in the sky—glow. This marks writer Choi Yeon-soo’s first new work in four years since “Shooting Star.”
