[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] Calibers, a subsidiary of LOTTE INNOVATE(286940), is launching an immersive commerce service utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twin technology. The company plans to collaborate with Lotte ON and LOTTE Himart to provide online customers with product experiences and consultation services similar to those found in physical stores.
Calibers announced on the 3rd that it will launch an AI- and 3D-based immersive commerce service in collaboration with Lotte ON and LOTTE Himart(071840). Lotte ON X Lotte GFR “AI Styling Shop” (Photo: LOTTE INNOVATE) Immersive commerce is a next-generation shopping method that combines AI, digital twins, and virtual space technologies to enable consumers to examine products in three dimensions and receive personalized guidance. It is characterized by providing experiences—such as checking fit, trying out products, and receiving consultations—that were previously difficult to achieve in online shopping, all within a virtual space to assist with purchasing decisions.
This service is accessible on PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and tablets. As it is web-based, users can access the Lotte ON AI Styling Shop and LOTTE Himart’s “PLUX Virtual Store” without installing a separate app.
The AI Styling Shop, developed in collaboration with Lotte ON, offers AI-based virtual try-on and styling features. Calibers has combined technology that naturally fits clothing onto avatars based on human body proportions with AI garment simulation. This overcomes the limitation of online clothing shopping, where it is difficult to preview the fit and silhouette before purchase.
Customers can freely mix and match tops and bottoms from Lotte GFR’s “Sporty&Rich” brand. They can check fabric texture, wrinkles, drape, and length via 3D simulation, browse coordinated outfits in the brand gallery, and then proceed to the product details and purchase pages.
In partnership with LOTTE Himart, the company operates the “PLUX Virtual Store.” Calibers utilizes digital twins to recreate the exterior and internal structure of home appliances, allowing consumers to compare and examine products in three dimensions.
It also offers an AI consultation advisor feature. By providing real-time guidance on product features, key functions, usage instructions, and purchase considerations, it delivers an online consultation experience similar to receiving explanations from staff at a physical store.
Starting with this collaboration, Caliber plans to expand its scope to various industries, including fashion, home appliances, home goods, beauty, entertainment, and education. In the future, the company also plans to add features such as an enhanced AI styling shop that takes customer body types into account, AI-powered personalized product recommendations, and the creation of AI-powered panoramic virtual stores.
A Calibers representative stated, “This service was designed to overcome the limitations of online shopping and provide customers with a differentiated shopping experience by leveraging AI and digital twin technologies.” They added, “Through collaboration with Lotte Group affiliates, we plan to continuously expand the scope of our AI and 3D capabilities, advance our next-generation immersive commerce capabilities, and support the AX transformation across various industries.”
