[Edaily Reporter KYUNG GYEYOUNG ] The growth of HANKOOKCOSMETICS (K-Beauty) stood out during Prime Day, a large-scale discount event hosted by Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce platform. K-Beauty brands such as Medicube, Anua, Biodance, and COSRX ranked among the top sellers.
According to KYOBOSECURITIESCO.,LTD. on the 3rd, as of June 26—the final day of Prime Day—K-Beauty products accounted for 29 items in the Beauty & Personal Care category and 38 items in the Skincare category among the top 100 best-selling products on Amazon U.S. Amazon moved up its Prime Day event, typically held in July, to June 23–26 this year. Shinhan Investment Securities analyzed that the number of K-Beauty products ranking in the top 100 increased compared to last year’s Prime Day in July.

In particular, the “Zero Pore Pad” ranked No. 1 in sales in the Beauty & Personal Care category for the second consecutive year.
#AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION also set a new record for sales revenue, with sales during this year’s U.S. Prime Day increasing by 20% compared to last year’s Prime Day period. Laneige’s “Lip Glow Balm” and “Lip Sleeping Mask” ranked first and second, respectively, in the lip balm category, while Mise-en-Scène’s “Perfect Serum Hair Oil” took the top spot in the hair styling oil category. Cosrx’s “Snail Mucin Serum,” Ilyoon’s “Ceramide Ato Intensive Cream,” and Estra’s “Atobarrier Cream” were also among the top-selling products.
Small and medium-sized indie K-Beauty brands also performed well. Gungjung Bibchaek, operated by Zero to Seven Inc(159580), saw sales increase by 40% compared to last year’s Amazon Prime Day event, setting a new record for June. The brand also expanded its product range beyond baby and sun care to include kids’ hair care.
Neopharm CO., LTD.(092730)Neopharm CO., LTD. reported that Atofarm, Zeroid, and DermaV—brands it operates—also saw Prime Day sales grow by more than 100% year-over-year.
#AROMATICA CO. saw its sales increase by 106% year-over-year, with its flagship product, the “Rosemary Root Enhancer,” ranking first in the scalp treatment category. AROMATICA CO. noted that new customer acquisition, in particular, rose by 70% compared to last year’s event.
K-Beauty brands made their mark not only in the U.S. but also in Europe. During Amazon Prime Day in Europe, AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION saw sales rise by 22% compared to last year’s event. COSRX’s “Ultra Light Invisible Sunscreen” ranked No. 1 in the sunscreen category, and sales of Estra and Ilyoon creams increased by 164% over the same period.
APR has also launched on Amazon in Germany, Spain, Italy, and France since late last year, and in its first participation in European Prime Day, it placed an average of seven products in the top 100 of the beauty category.
