Namsung has been expanding its online sales by leveraging the brand recognition it has built through existing offline distribution channels, such as Walmart. Currently, offline sales account for about 85% of its U.S. revenue, while online sales make up about 15%; the company plans to increase the share of online sales to improve distribution efficiency and profitability. Namsung plans to utilize its online channels not only for sales but also as a core platform for collecting consumer data and optimizing inventory management. The company intends to position “NS AI Link,” a physical AI DEVICE for vehicles scheduled for release this month, as the flagship product for expanding its North American online business. This product is a 10.1-inch in-vehicle display that offers both smartphone mirroring and AI services; the initial shipment of 3,600 units is scheduled to be sold through Walmart stores across the U.S. By the end of the year, the company also plans to launch sales on Amazon in conjunction with the release of the NS AI Link server-based platform. The strategy is to expand beyond hardware sales into a mobility AI platform business that integrates AI-powered automatic connectivity, advertising, and shopping. Namsung officials stated, “We will leverage the brand trust we’ve established through Walmart to expand into Amazon-centric online channels and strengthen our sales in North America,” adding, “We plan to accelerate our penetration of the North American mobility AI market by leading with NS AI Link.”
