On the same day, Oh Yoon-ah also personally announced her remarriage by uploading a video titled “Oh Yoon-ah’s New Beginning” to her YouTube channel, “Oh! Yoon-ah.” In the video, Oh Yoon-ah said, “I’m getting married,” adding, “Since there are so many subscribers who have sincerely supported me, I wanted to share this news on our YouTube channel.”
She also explained the decision-making process regarding her son and her remarriage. Oh Yoon-ah said, “I raised my son alone for such a long time, and he was my top priority,” adding, “I didn’t want to burden my partner with that.” She continued, “I thought I would have to live that way for the rest of my life, but I met a truly wonderful person and decided to get married.”
Oh Yoon-ah also mentioned that her husband’s family had accepted her son, Min. “His parents are such wonderful people; they’ve welcomed our Min just like a grandson,” she said. “I felt that this couldn’t have happened without fate.” Regarding her husband, she explained, “He accepted my son so comfortably that our marriage came about naturally.”
She also revealed that she had been cautious about going public with the news of her remarriage. Oh Yoon-ah said, “It’s been a little while since we made the decision, but I wasn’t sure how to bring it up,” adding, “Since my partner is a private citizen, I have to be even more careful.”
She added, “I’m living my life to the fullest, and nothing has changed,” and asked, “Please see this as a positive change in Oh Yoon-ah and continue to support me as you have been.”
Oh Yoon-ah married in 2007 and gave birth to a son in August of that same year. She later divorced in 2015 and has been raising her son, who has autism, on her own. The announcement of her remarriage comes 11 years after her divorce.
Born in November 1980, Oh Yoon-ah is currently 45 years old. She appeared in the film “Mismatch” earlier this year and continues to engage with the public through her personal YouTube channel and home shopping appearances.
