According to distributor ByPoem Studio on the 6th, “The Eye” has been officially invited to the Panorama section of the competition at the 59th Sitges Film Festival, which runs from October 8 to 18. The Sitges Film Festival is a world-renowned event showcasing genre films such as fantasy, horror, and thrillers, and it has consistently served as a platform for introducing Korean genre films.
This invitation is particularly significant as it recognizes the genre-specific excellence of *The Pupil*. The film is a suspense thriller that depicts the truth Seo-jin—who is losing her sight due to a genetic disease—encounters as she investigates the suspicious circumstances surrounding her twin brother’s death.
