Promoting the Value of Sustainable Paper Through Educational and Cultural Programs
[E-Daily Reporter Kim Se-yeon ] MOORIM PAPER(009200), a leading domestic paper company, has decided to continue its paper sponsorship program aimed at fostering children’s creativity and sensitivity. The company has converted what began as a one-time sponsorship for Children’s Day into an annual initiative. (Photo courtesy of MOORIM PAPER) MOORIM PAPER announced on the 8th that it had signed a business agreement on the 7th with “Seoul Imagination Land,” a children’s museum operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, to provide annual paper donations for use in children’s education and exhibitions. The donated paper will be used for a wide range of materials, including activity sheets for regular educational programs and special exhibitions, as well as various teaching aids, leaflets, and invitations. This agreement is particularly significant as it marks the expansion of the collaboration with Seoul Imagination Land—which began with a special Children’s Day event—into an annual sponsorship. Following last year’s contribution, Moolim has sponsored eco-friendly paper for Seoul Imagination Land’s Children’s Day events for two consecutive years. The scope of cooperation has been broadened based on a shared commitment to creating an educational environment that prioritizes children’s health and safety. Moolim’s paper is already being used throughout the Seoul Imagination Land exhibition space. The special exhibition “Picture Book Workshop: Small Yet Special,” which opened on the 4th, is a prime example. The exhibition features a participatory program where children use activity sheets made from Moolim’s paper to express moments from their daily lives through stories, words, and drawings. Through this agreement, Moolim will provide paper and other materials made from Korea’s only low-carbon certified paper and sustainable forest resources. The company plans to help children discover the joy of paper and experience the value of eco-friendly materials through various hands-on activities where they write, draw, and create. A MOORIM PAPER representative stated, “We hope that through the experience of touching and expressing themselves with paper, children will develop their creativity and naturally appreciate the environmental value of paper,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various corporate social responsibility activities centered on paper in the fields of children’s education and culture, striving to ensure that future generations can naturally experience sustainable values.”
