Set to premiere on the 7th of next month, the Netflix series “Such a Shitty Love” is a romantic comedy depicting the heart-fluttering, sticky-sweet cohabitation of Go Eun-sae (played by Ha Young), a prosecutor suffering from amnesia, and boxing coach Jang Tae-ha (played by Jung Hae-in), who insists he is her boyfriend.
The teaser poster released on the 10th sparks curiosity with images of Jang Tae-ha and Go Eun-sae captured in the quiet small town of Gujin’s “Yut Village.” The contrast between Jang Tae-ha—standing in the middle of the cozy, homely front yard of a rural house, smiling affectionately yet somehow suspiciously—and Go Eun-sae, whose expression is filled with question marks, is intriguing.
Added to this, the tagline, “No memories, no records. The only one I can trust is this man!” leaves viewers wondering what lies ahead for Go Eun-sae, who has lost all her memories and arrived in Yut Village following Jang Tae-ha, who claims to be her “boyfriend.”

The teaser trailer released alongside the stills captures the intriguing first encounter between the somewhat suspicious Jang Tae-ha and Go Eun-sae. First, Go Eun-sae piques curiosity as she arrives in a sports car and introduces herself: “I’m Go Ji-won, a prosecutor with the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office.”
Following Go Eun-sae, who appears to be in a desperate escape from someone, comes Jang Tae-ha, exuding a dark aura, and the secret orders from the organization’s boss, Baek Sang-gil (Heo Seong-tae), draw attention to the relationships shrouded in mystery.
Go Eun-sae then wakes up in a hospital as an unidentified patient suffering from amnesia, unable to even verify her identity through fingerprints. Jang Tae-ha appears before her—who doesn’t even know who she is—and drops a bombshell: “Don’t you know who I am? I’m your boyfriend.” This suggests an unusual connection between them.
Although she has lost her memory, her tastes seem to have remained unchanged; Go Eun-sae was seen denying reality, insisting that Jang Tae-ha—dressed in shabby clothes—could never possibly be her boyfriend, no matter how she looked at him. She simply cannot believe Jang Tae-ha’s claim that he has been persistently following her since they first met in the mountains. Her heartbreakingly pathetic reaction—as she exclaims, “So, in short, I’ve been screwed over, haven’t I?”—while struggling with confusion in this unfamiliar situation where she has no memories or clues—catches the viewer’s attention.
Jung Hae-in returns to the small screen in a romantic comedy for the first time in two years. Ha Young, who made a name for herself with *Trauma Center*, is set to leave another strong impression with *This Shitty Love*.
