[E-Daily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] Seokkyung AT ( Sukgyung AT Co., Ltd.(357550)), a company specializing in functional nanomaterials, is accelerating the commercialization of its next-generation battery materials by securing customer evaluation samples of solid electrolyte materials for all-solid-state batteries (ASSB) based on lithium chloroboracite.
Sukgyung AT Co., Ltd. announced on the 13th that it has improved the ionic conductivity of its lithium chloroboracite-based solid electrolyte material to approximately 10⁻⁴ (S/cm) and has secured samples ready for customer evaluation. The company raised the ionic conductivity—which was initially in the range of 10⁻⁶ to 10⁻⁸ (S/cm)—to 10⁻⁴ (S/cm) through optimization of material composition and advancement of process technology.
Lithium chloroborate is characterized by being easier to handle in the open air than existing sulfide-based solid electrolytes and posing a lower risk of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) generation when exposed to moisture. It is also regarded as a highly cost-effective material due to its competitiveness in terms of raw materials and manufacturing processes. The company is conducting comprehensive verification not only of ionic conductivity but also of stability, process convenience, and handling safety.
Currently, Sukgyung AT Co., Ltd. is conducting additional verification based on the samples it has secured to enhance performance reproducibility, interfacial stability, and technical reliability across various application environments. It is also accumulating the technical data necessary for customer evaluation through electrochemical characteristic assessments with various cathode materials, including LFP.
Going forward, the company plans to expand its technology presentations to domestic and international clients while simultaneously conducting performance verification and material optimization to meet customer requirements. It is also exploring ways to utilize lithium chloroborate not only as a solid electrolyte for all-solid-state batteries but also as a functional additive for cathode materials.
Sukgyung AT Co., Ltd. also participated in “Nano Korea 2026,” held from the 8th to the 10th, where it showcased key functional nanomaterials such as Hollow Silica, Low Dk/Df Silica, and Spherical Silica. At the exhibition, the company held technical consultations with domestic and international companies and research institutions, focusing on various application areas such as semiconductor packaging and photonic crystal materials, to explore potential collaborations.
