[E-Daily Reporter Kim Seung-kwon ] DEEPNOID Inc.(315640)announced that it is moving full steam ahead with the commercialization of generative medical AI, starting with the product approval of its generative AI-based digital medical device, “M4CXR.” In particular, DEEPNOID Inc. presented M4CXR as a solution to structural challenges in the healthcare field, such as a shortage of radiologists, a concentration of diagnostic infrastructure in the Seoul metropolitan area and large hospitals, and the diagnostic burden caused by a large volume of chest imaging exams.

DEEPNOID Inc., a first-generation medical AI company in South Korea, made this announcement on the 13th at the “2026 DEEPNOID Media Day” held at The Westin Chosun Seoul. Furthermore, the company outlined its vision to evolve into a comprehensive medical AI enterprise encompassing medical AI solutions, infrastructure, and Agent AI.

Following its designation as an innovative medical device—the first of its kind for a generative AI medical device—M4CXR has now obtained a digital medical device product license, marking its entry into full-scale commercialization. M4CXR has been trained on over 10 million chest X-ray images and interpretation reports to detect more than 41 types of abnormal findings, automatically generating preliminary reports with interpretation results in an average of 2.3 seconds.

DEEPNOID Inc. presented M4CXR as a solution to structural challenges in the healthcare field. The company explained that as medical AI has gradually evolved to effectively assist healthcare professionals in image interpretation, it has begun to provide tangible benefits to frontline hospitals.

CEO Choi Woo-sik stated, “The product approval for M4CXR will mark a symbolic starting point for the commercialization of generative medical AI, creating tangible benefits in hospital settings.”

DEEPNOID Inc. cited the know-how accumulated through its predecessor products, such as DEEP:NEURO and DEEP:CHEST, as the foundation for establishing M4CXR in the healthcare sector. The company’s strategy is to ensure the stable introduction of M4CXR into clinical settings by partnering with South Korea’s leading provider of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and leveraging a nationwide hospital network.

DEEPNOID Inc. determined that commercialization cannot be achieved through model performance alone. The company believes that even with superior technology, widespread adoption is limited if costs and power consumption are too high; true commercialization requires a stable operational infrastructure. Accordingly, DEEPNOID Inc. is conducting a proof-of-concept to integrate Furiosa AI’s “Renegade (RNGD)” AI semiconductor into M4CXR.

In addition, the company introduced “MedZero,” a foundation model specialized for healthcare. MedZero is a multimodal foundation model that encompasses various medical images, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). DEEPNOID Inc. aims to develop Korea’s first multimodal medical AI foundation model, optimized for the domestic healthcare environment using Korean medical data, and equipped with Korean language and medical knowledge capabilities as well as explainability.

DEEPNOID Inc. presented a two-pronged modality expansion roadmap: for the chest, expanding from X-rays to CT and MRI; and for the brain, expanding from MRA to CTA and MRI. The company plans to progress from diagnostic assistance and preliminary report generation to an “Agentic” AI service that supports workflow execution in clinical settings. Agentic AI refers to an AI system capable of achieving specific goals with limited supervision.

CEO Choi stated, “DEEPNOID Inc. no longer defines itself solely as a medical device company,” adding, “Starting with M4CXR, we will expand our modalities to include chest CT and MRI, and move toward medical AI agent services.” He continued, “DEEPNOID Inc.’s direction is to transform into a medical AI service company that encompasses solutions, infrastructure, and agents.”
