Set to open on the 12th of next month, the movie “Okay Madam 2” is a comedy-action film about the family of Mi-young (played by Uhm Jung-hwa), a former legendary agent, who embarks on a luxury cruise only to get caught up in a cruise ship hijacking incident in the middle of the blue ocean.
The main poster, released on the 14th, catches the eye as the seven actors showcase their distinct personalities against the backdrop of the cruise ship. The lineup—featuring Um Jung-hwa, Park Sung-woong, Lee Sang-yoon, and Bae Jeong-nam, who appeared in the first film, along with new cast members Park Jin-joo, Ryu Woon, and Choi Soo-young—is generating high anticipation.
The main trailer, released alongside the poster, shows Mi-young boarding a luxury cruise ship to escape her dreary reality. The trailer then cuts to the cruise ship cutting through the blue sea in all its majestic glory, accompanied by the tagline, “Is a dream vacation beginning?”

However, the romance is short-lived, and the mood takes a sudden turn with the phrase, “Operation: Wake-Up Call.” Anya (played by Choi Soo-young), the ruthless leader of a massive criminal organization, and her armed henchmen take control of the massive cruise ship. As the cruise ship becomes the scene of an unprecedented hostage situation, the true nature of Mi-young—a former legendary agent—begins to emerge.
“Okay Madam 2” promises a diverse range of entertainment, from exhilarating action to comedy that will have families, couples, and friends laughing together.
Released in 2020, “Okay Madam” drew 1.22 million viewers and was a huge hit, even amid the COVID-19 pandemic. While the first film was set on an airplane, the sequel is set to showcase spectacular action on a massive cruise ship.
