Through this project, SAMYANG COMTECH CO., LTD. plans to expand the automation of ceramic manufacturing and processing—a key material for bulletproof and protective products—and improve production efficiency and yield. The company also aims to lay the groundwork for full-process automation and unmanned factories by applying robotic automation to key processes. The Gwangju plant was selected for the “2026 Manufacturing Robot Introduction Support Project” organized by Gyeonggi Technopark. SAMYANG COMTECH CO., LTD. expects to reduce work time, improve defect rates, and cut labor costs by introducing robotic automation to the powder raw material press molding, finished product loading, and inspection processes in its alumina-based ceramic manufacturing line. The Anseong plant was selected for the “2026 Advanced Manufacturing Robot Demonstration Project in the Future Mobility Sector,” organized by the Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency. The company plans to apply robotic automation to the ceramic processing line to automate the entire process—from ceramic loading to processing, unloading, and inspection—thereby enhancing production efficiency and quality stability. A SAMYANG COMTECH CO., LTD. official stated, “Being selected for this project will serve as an opportunity to raise the level of automation in our bulletproof material production and processing,” adding, “We will strengthen production efficiency, quality stability, and cost competitiveness while continuing to expand the foundation for full-process automation.”
