[Edaily Reporter Hyera Lee ] Point Engineering ( POINT ENGINEERING Co., Ltd.(256630)) announced on the 16th that it has entered into a strategic supply partnership with YOKOWO, a Japanese semiconductor testing components company, for the MEMS pin business for HBM (High Bandwidth Memory).

YOKOWO is a global semiconductor testing component manufacturer that mass-produces ultra-precision MEMS test pins and vertical probe card components. The company possesses technological expertise in both the memory and non-memory testing markets and also operates a business in automotive communication antennas.
Through this partnership, the two companies will collaborate on the production and supply of HBM semiconductor test pins. POINT ENGINEERING Co., Ltd. has secured an annual production capacity of approximately 10 million MEMS pins and plans to supply them to Yokooh on a priority basis.
The two companies signed this partnership agreement after two years of discussions regarding product testing and mass production conditions.
Ahn Beom-mo, CEO of POINT ENGINEERING Co., Ltd., stated, “Signing this partnership with Yoko, a top-tier global semiconductor testing component manufacturer, is an achievement that marks the official recognition of our MEMS pin technology in the global market.” He added, “Starting with the supply of HBM MEMS pins, we will expand our supply to cover the full range of MEMS pins, and based on this, we will pursue the mass production of ultra-high-performance MEMS pins and the expansion of our global supply chain.”
