Construction of the new production line is scheduled to take place from today through December 31, 2030.
Immunoglobulin is a blood product made by purifying antibodies from blood. It is used to treat primary immunodeficiency disorders, autoimmune diseases, and neurological disorders. Global demand is steadily increasing due to an aging population and the expansion of indications. Through the construction of this new production line, the company plans to expand its production capacity for next-generation immunoglobulin products and respond to future growth in global demand.
This investment, which exceeds 10% of the company’s equity, is a large-scale capital expenditure. It is viewed not merely as a simple expansion but as a mid- to long-term investment aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the plasma fractionation business. The blood products business is a core growth driver for GC Biopharma Corp.; sales of Aliglo in the first quarter of this year reached 34.9 billion won, a fourfold increase from the previous year.
