According to their agency, Belief Lab, on the 18th, ILLIT will release their second Japanese single, “I Got Your Back,” on the 29th.
The title track, “I Got Your Back,” which shares the same name as the single, is a rock song that expresses gratitude for a friend who stays by one’s side even amid a daily life weighed down by anxiety and pressure.
The lyrics were written by singer-songwriter Yuika, the original composer of “Because I Like You,” a song that gained popularity on various short-form platforms, including TikTok. Belief Lab stated, “Yuika expressed the delicate emotional nuances of a song that tells the girls’ story through her lyrics.”
Kanata Okajima contributed to the composition of this track, which features a dynamic rock sound. Kanata Okajima has previously collaborated with renowned artists both domestically and internationally, including BTS and Snow Man, producing numerous hit songs.
This single includes a total of three tracks: the Korean version of “I Got Your Back” and “Sunday Morning,” the opening theme song for Season 2 of the TV anime “It’s Time for the Princess’s Torture,” which was released last January. All tracks will be released on the 26th, and the Korean version of “I Got Your Back” will be available exclusively on the physical album.
Meanwhile, Ailette will hold concerts for their live tour “PRESS START” on the 18th and 19th at the Glion Arena Kobe in Hyogo, Japan.
