RaonSecure Co., Ltd. to Supply Quantum-Resistant Cryptography to NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance… "Expanding Orders in the Financial Sector"
Quantum Security Applied to Virtual Keypads, Joint Authentication, and More
Following KDB Life Insurance Last Month, Consecutive Contracts Awarded
Efforts to Target Public and Financial Markets Intensify Ahead of the Enforcement of the Quantum Technology Industry Act
[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] RaonSecure Co., Ltd.(042510)announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract to supply a post-quantum cryptography (PQC) security system for the “Customer-Centric Digital Channel Transformation” project being pursued by NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance.
Following its signing of the financial sector’s first PQC supply contract with KDB Life Insurance last month, RaonSecure Co., Ltd. is expanding its presence in the financial sector’s quantum security market by securing this latest contract with NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance. The company is currently in discussions with more than 10 major financial institutions regarding the adoption and supply of PQC and is expanding these discussions to public institutions as well.
This project will utilize RaonSecure Co., Ltd.’s mobile app virtual keypad “TouchEn mTranskey” and its electronic signature solutions “Key# Wireless” and “Key# Biz.” TouchEn mTranskey protects key information entered by customers using PQC technology, while Key# Wireless and Key# Biz apply PQC security technology to the authentication and electronic signature processes in mobile and PC environments, respectively.
Through this, NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance has implemented a PQC security framework across the core stages of its digital financial services—from customer data entry to identity verification and transaction approval. The company plans to proactively address potential security threats to existing cryptographic systems posed by quantum computers and further enhance the security of its digital financial services.
RaonSecure Co., Ltd. has continued its research and development and product commercialization efforts to apply PQC technology to real-world industrial environments, such as the financial and public sectors. In 2024, the company integrated algorithms based on the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) CRYSTALS-Kyber into its KeyShop Wireless and KeyShop Biz products and established a technical framework that also supports the Korean Post-Quantum Cryptography (KpqC) standard.
In addition, the company obtained compliance certification under the National Intelligence Service’s Cryptographic Module Verification Program (KCMVP) and the U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS 140-2) certification, laying the groundwork to reliably meet the stringent security requirements of financial and public institutions both domestically and internationally.
RaonSecure Co., Ltd. plans to expand the scope of PQC application across all industries that handle large volumes of data, including finance, the public sector, telecommunications, platforms, healthcare, and manufacturing. The company aims to strengthen its leadership in the domestic PQC market by providing quantum security systems optimized for the specific systems and security environments of each industry.
Lee Jeong-ah, CEO of RaonSecure Co., Ltd., stated, “The supply contract with NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance is a significant achievement that demonstrates how RaonSecure Co., Ltd.’s PQC technology is being adopted in the authentication and digital signature environments of actual financial services.” She added, “As the revision of the Quantum Technology Industry Act is expected to expand quantum security initiatives in both the public and private sectors, we will lead the transition to PQC across various industries based on our proven technical capabilities and implementation experience in the financial sector.”
