Lee Na-yeon, a sports announcer at JTBC, posted a video on her YouTube channel “First, Na-yeon” on the 13th, capturing her daily commute to work at JTBC.

In the video, while taking an online Chinese class in the lobby on the first floor of the JTBC building, Lee Na-yeon said, “Is it okay to say this? Is it because the company is struggling? The air conditioning isn’t working. It’s so hot.”
This was an indirect reference to the fact that JTBC and other major affiliates of the Joongang Group are currently undergoing corporate restructuring.
Some netizens pointed out that her remarks were ill-advised given the company’s current difficult circumstances.
As news of this situation spread, the controversy grew, and the scene containing the remarks in question was eventually edited out.
