[Edaily Starin Reporter YUN GI BACK ] Ahead of the finale of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Manager Kim,” actors So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, and Yoon Kyung-ho shared their heartfelt reflections on the show’s conclusion and their personal favorite scenes.

“Manager Kim” recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 21.5% (according to Nielsen Korea) in its ninth episode, breaking the 20% mark for the sixth consecutive episode. It also ranked first in the 20-49 demographic among all programs aired that week, achieving both commercial success and widespread buzz. With only the final episode remaining, attention is focused on how the “Dad Universe” storyline will conclude.
So Ji-sub, who played the central character of Manager Kim, expressed his gratitude to viewers and shared his affection for the show. “I sincerely thank all the viewers who have shown us so much love and support,” he said. “It was an honor to work alongside the director, writer, staff, and fellow actors.” He added, “I hope you’ll enjoy the show with us until the very last episode. I’ll cherish this overwhelming love for a long time.”
The moment So Ji-sub cited as the most memorable was the ending of Episode 6—the scene where he reunites with his daughter Min-ji after a long separation and says, “Dad’s here. Let’s go home now.” He recalled, “It was the scene I looked forward to the most from the moment I first read the script, and I remember getting choked up just reading the lines.”
Choi Dae-hoon, who played Seo Han-su and alternated between humor and emotion, also expressed deep gratitude for the viewers’ love. “All this interest and love are the greatest source of energy for an actor,” he said. “I’ve drawn plenty of strength from it, and I’ll repay you with even better work in the future.” He went on to express his resolve, saying, “I’m delighted and happy, but I also feel a sense of responsibility. I’ll start anew with the mindset of a beginner.”

The standout scene chosen by Choi Dae-hoon is the one in Episode 2 where Manager Kim reunites with his daughter and begins a new life. He explained, “The scene of Manager Kim navigating an unfamiliar and daunting reality best captured the essence of our drama’s beginning.”
Yoon Kyung-ho, who played Park Jin-cheol, also said, “I could feel the viewers’ love with every fiber of my being throughout the broadcast,” adding, “It was deeply rewarding to see the sweat and effort poured in by the staff and cast translate into laughter and emotional moments for the audience.” He continued, “I’ll return with a new project while cherishing the happy memories of ‘Manager Kim,’” and left his signature cheerful greeting: “I’m rooting for everyone—the guys who wear glasses and the guys who don’t.”
Yoon Kyung-ho cited the scene in Episode 7, where Manager Kim and Min-ji share a dinner as they prepare to part ways once again, as the most memorable. He remarked, “Seeing the father and daughter eating while holding back tears was so heartbreaking,” but drew laughter by adding, “Even in the midst of that, I kept worrying about the refrigerator door that got ripped off because of me, and I felt sorry about that.”
In the previous episode, Manager Kim succeeded in rescuing Lee Eung-ryeong, but tension reached its peak as the children of Seong Han-su and Park Jin-cheol were taken hostage by Ju Kang-chan. Attention is now focused on the finale to see if the three of them can protect their families until the very end.
